When Speed uncovers a terrible secret--that some of the biggest races are being fixed by Royalton Industries--he realizes that the only way to save his family's business and the sport he loves is to beat Royalton at its own game. With the support of his family and his girlfriend, Trixie, Speed teams with his one-time rival--the mysterious Racer X--to win the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.

When New Yorkers Jack Fuller and Joy McNally cross paths one weekend in Las Vegas, they wind up drunk, married and the co-winners of a $3 million slot-machine jackpot. But, when they take their predicament to court back in Manhattan, the old-school judge refuses to grant them an annulment. Instead, he freezes their money and sentences them to "six months hard marriage." This includes doing everything possible to make their marriage work--co-habitation, weekly counseling sessions, and something Whopper believes Jack and Joy's "generation" hates to do: trying. Now, Jack and Joy find themselves locked in a hilarious, patience-testing, panties-twisting game of wild one-upmanship. May the best "pretend spouse" win!

Dr. Jack Gramm is a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When Gramm receives a death threat claiming that he has only 88 minutes to live, he must draw upon all his skills and training to identify the potential assassin before his time runs out. But, how does he narrow down the field of possible suspects? The list is substantial. Could the caller be a disgruntled student? Or, perhaps, it is a jilted former lover? Or… is it possible that Gramm is being targeted by a serial killer who is already serving time on death row?
